I've been thinking about this Homeland Security Agency naming issue and I am in agreement with Peggy Noonan, Mickey Kaus, NPR and everyone else who believes "Homeland" is a stupid word. The article in the Wall Street Journal summarizes the arguments well, and even makes some suggestions for a more appropriate name. Department of Domestic Security gets my vote.
