Last night I watched TheGame with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn. I missed it at the theatres when it was released in 1997 and I had never picked it up until now. The director is David Fincher, who did Seven, and his imprint is visible here. This dark, fast paced film doesn't give you time to stop and think about what's going to happen next, and keeps the suspense cranked up high. The main character is rich and mean enough that you begin by not caring what happens to him. The backdrop is San Francisco, so I spent lots of time looking for familiar places. Even though I could guess the ending, it was entertaining and worth watching.
