Microsoft is making noises about continued support for the Mac platform. The head of Microsoft's Mac business unit claims Apple hasn't done enough to promote the new OS X operating system. That might be overstating things to make a point, but it does seem that Apple hasn't made it compelling to switch or upgrade. I installed OS X on my laptop and it seems to run fine, but I haven't taken the plunge and loaded it on my main computer. All of my software is running fine under Mac OS 9.2 and I don't plan on replacing every application I currently use. Maybe Jaguar and the rumored new internet services might make OS X more attractive.
