Slashdot is saying that eWeek is saying that Apple is saying that a journaling file system will soon be available on Mac OS X. A journaling file system will not prevent nasty crashes while you're developing The Next Big Thing or running your mission critical server, but when that crash inevitably occurs, you can be sure your file systems and the data they contain will be safe.
